Who Can Write for ScrubTales
We welcome guest posts from anyone working in or around healthcare — whether you’re in training or already in practice. This includes:
- Doctors (FY1–ST3, specialty trainees, international medical graduates)
- Medical students
- Nurses and student nurses
- HCAs, nurse associates
- Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other AHPs
- Teaching fellows, clinical educators
- Anyone supporting NHS patients or clinical teams
If you have something valuable, relatable, or educational to share — we’d love to read it.
Content Requirements
- Minimum word count: 1000 words
- Tone: Clear, helpful, and honest – not academic or robotic
- Style: Short paragraphs (max 2 lines), bullet points, numbered lists, and relevant headings
- Originality: Must be your own content. No plagiarism or full AI-generated articles
- Images: Optional but encouraged
- You may upload your own screenshots, infographics, or photos
- If using external images, they must be credited with proper source reference
- We recommend using Creative Commons, Wikipedia, or Wikimedia Commons-licensed images
- Format: Submit as a Word document or via the online form

- Clinical topics explained for junior doctors or IMGs (e.g. writing discharge summaries, fluid prescribing, clerking tips)
- OSCE revision tips, station walkthroughs, or practical exam strategies

What to Avoid
- Promotional or affiliate content
- Generic articles without clear takeaways
- Rewritten material from other websites
- Plagiarism in any form (manual or AI-assisted)
- Any breach of patient confidentiality or professionalism
How to Submit
You can either:

- Or email your article in Word format to [email protected]
We aim to review all submissions and get back to you within 5–7 days.
All posts are reviewed before publishing. We may suggest edits to maintain consistency and quality.
What You’ll Get in Return
- Full authorship credit — your name will appear as the author
- You retain ownership of your content
- However, once published on ScrubTales, the post must not be republished elsewhere (including personal blogs, Medium, etc.)
- A published link you can use for your CV, LinkedIn, or portfolio
